Wolverines Take a Hit

Check out this link: Manningham to have knee surgery

You'd think that losing a player of Manningham's talent would be a big loss to Michigan, especially considering that he has emerged as Chad Henne's favorite target. I think most of us thought that Steve Breaston would be the big play receiver for the Wolverines this year, but it's been Manningham.

Of course, this might actually matter to the Wolverines if they played in a conference with more than one other solid team. As long as Manningham is back in a month for the Wolverines to battle Ohio State, this injury won't matter at all. If you really think that not having Manningham against Penn State and Iowa will hinder Michigan's offense, you've bought into the Big 10 hype and need to stop watching ESPN GameDay for at least two weeks.
